Rhode Island Social Equity Applicant Status Certification
If an individual or a business entity is interested in applying for Social Equity Applicant Status Certification (SEASC), the below Interest Form must be filled out in order to access the SEASC Portal. With the below information, applicants will be contacted by our third-party vendor, Creative Services, Inc. (CSI), within one (1) business day to be granted access to the SEASC Portal.
Applicants, including individuals who plan to form an entity to apply for an Adult-Use Retail license, may not change their corporate structure after receiving Social Equity Applicant Status Certification unless they first obtain a variance from the Cannabis Control Commission, as required under 560-RICR-10-10-1.3.3. Any party intending to apply for an Adult-Use Retail license as an entity should submit their Social Equity Applicant Status Certification application under that same entity.
For resources related to Social Equity Criteria, please see Unit 1.3 on the Technical Assistance page.
